Grow Extra-Give Extra
During 2025, the Dodge County Master Gardeners once again shared the bounty from their gardens with communities across the county. This year, a total of 1,149 pounds of fresh produce was donated to individuals and organizations in need.
Jail Kitchen Gardens – Juneau: The gardens produced an impressive 750 pounds of extra produce, all of which was donated to support local needs.
Dodge County Youth Master Gardeners: Youth members contributed 59 pounds of produce to the Mayville Food Pantry.
Individual Master Gardeners: Members donated an additional 340 pounds of produce to food pantries and community groups in Beaver Dam, Horicon, Mayville, and Juneau.
Beaver Dam Food Pantry Garden: Due to construction, the garden was unable to contribute this season.
The donations included a wide variety of fresh items such as radishes, beets, beans, cherry tomatoes, kohlrabi, peppers, zucchini, carrots, winter squash, cucumbers, watermelons, muskmelons, pie pumpkins, and apples.
Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and harvest to support our communities.
